Before you board
A few minutes at the gate saves fiddling at 35,000 feet.
- Take wallet or card cases off the phone.
- Check whether your tray table has a thin front edge.
- For magnetic holders, stick the ring on a non-MagSafe case at home.
- Download films while you still have Wi-Fi.
In the air
The tray is too thick.
Fold the holder into its stand position and set it on the tray instead.
The suction cup slides off.
Rinse it, let it dry and press onto clean, smooth glass.
