Long flight essentials: a carry-on checklist
Most long-haul comfort comes from a handful of small things in the seat pocket. This is the list we use.
Screen time
- An airplane phone holder for hands-free films.
- Downloaded films, shows and playlists.
- Wired or Bluetooth headphones and an adapter.
- A charging cable and a power bank under 100 Wh.
Comfort
- Neck pillow, eye mask and earplugs.
- A refillable water bottle (fill it after security).
- Lip balm, hand cream and a light layer.
Keep it together
Put everything you need during the flight in one small pouch that lives in the seat pocket, and leave the rest in the overhead bin. A folding phone holder takes no more room than a pen.
